Take on Jenson Button in two triathlons on one day.

This year’s event will be in support of Cancer Research UK and takes place on 12th July at the Luton Hoo estate in Bedfordshire.

Not only will you have the chance to take part in an eliminator format, you will also get the chance to race against the Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button. Post-race there will be live music, a barbeque and prizes which will be presented by Jenson.

The quintessentially British estate of Luton Hoo on the Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire borders is the grand setting for the Jenson Button Trust Triathlon. The triathlon will start with a 300m swim followed by a 9k bike ride and finish with a 2.5k run.

Then the top 50 participants will compete in the Final, to see who can take the podium spots as they race in a 750m swim followed by a 15km bike and finishing with a 5km run.

All other participants will take part in the Wooden Spoon Final which involves a 300m swim, 9km cycle and 2.5km run, meaning that everyone will have the chance to race twice.

The Triathlon is set within the private grounds of the beautiful 1,065 acre estate surrounding Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa.

All entrants will receive the following:

Entry into TWO races
A special Jenson Button Trust event t-shirt
Exclusive race medal
Post-race barbeque and a drink
Access to the post-race party with live music
Exclusive goody bag

The prize fund for the 2014 Triathlon has been confirmed as £400, £300, £200 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in both male and female races.

There is a maximum capacity of 500 entrants, so enter as soon as possible!

Supporting Cancer Research UK

All participants are asked to raise £500 minimum sponsorship for Jenson's chosen charity, Cancer Research UK. All the money raised will drive forward life-saving research, and help to beat cancer sooner. Don't forget you can make fundraising easy by signing up to raise funds online through JustGiving.

"We are extremely excited about our new partnership with Jenson Button, his personal passion, and commitment reflects our determination to succeed in the fight against cancer. The launch of our partnership takes his commitment beyond the race track as the Jenson Button Trust pledges to help us beat cancer sooner. Through this partnership we can engage with Jenson's supporters to encourage them to help us bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Money raised from the Jenson Button Trust Triathlon will fund our pioneering work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer"

Jools Tait, Director of Partnerships, Cancer Research UK

A message from Jenson:

"I am very excited to announce that this year’s triathlon will be raising vital funds for Cancer Research UK's pioneering work.

All participants will have the opportunity to compete twice and join me at the post-race party, where we’ll enjoy a great barbeque and live music.

The event was extremely popular last year, so make sure you book your place sooner rather than later - there's only 500 spots available! I'm also asking each participant to raise £500 sponsorship to help beat cancer sooner. Every pound donated helps to beat cancer sooner and in the fight against cancer, every second counts.

Make sure you sign up today. Looking forward to seeing you on the start line on 12th July at Luton Hoo!"
